Mangaluru, September 23: ‘Until my last breath I will remain in Congress Party, I will not change from party’, said former Minister B Janardhan Poojary rejecting the invitation of BJP.
Addressing a press meet here on Wednesday, September 23rd, he replied to the invitation of BJP during their protest against the Yettinahole project on Tuesday. From a long time, I am a congress leader. Indira Gandhi, Rajeev Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi have given ample chances to me. So there is no question of leaving the party, said Janardhan Poojary.
For the Yettinahole project, not only DV Sadananda Gowda, even Yedurappa, and Jagadish Shetter are also responsible. Without studying on this project, Sadananda Gowda approved the project. After Siddaramaiah became the Chief Minister, these three were behind him requesting not to withhold the project, criticized Poojary.
In the reports of Yettinahole project, it is stated that 13.92 hectares of forest area will be used for the project. Who has given these reports? Queried Poojary and said the experts have said only 9.55 TMC will be available from Yettinahole project. In such case, on which bases have you written in DPR that 24 TMC water is available? From where will you bring additional water? he queried.
Kolar and Tumakur people will not get any sort of benefit from this project. All are deceiving you, he said and added that investigations have to be done on how such wrong information has been given after CM Siddaramaiah studied on this project report, demanded Poojary.
Minister UT Khader by supporting this Yettinahole project is deceiving the people of Kolar and Tumkur. Dont you have the courage to tell them the truth, questioned Poojary. By implementing this project will you ruin Ullal Dargah, Gokarnanatha temple and other sacred spots of Mangaluru? said Poojary.
In the press meet, congress leaders Harikrishna Bantwal, Arun Kuvellow, T K Sudheer and others were present.
