Mangaluru, October 03: A youth who went to the jim was allegedly assaulted by a group which barged into a jim in Permude coming under Bajpe police jurisdiction on Friday, October 2nd.
The victim is identified as Mohammed Ashik (21) resident of Kinnipadavu in Bajpe.
It is alleged that 12 members were present in the group of attackers. A complaint has been lodged in Bajpe police station.
In the complaint, it has been stated that Kishor Kumar- Permude Gram Panchayat Vice-President, Pakku, Reetu, Ratnesh, Kantha, Charan and others had attacked on Mohammed Ashik.
It is said that, Mohammed Ashik owns a mobile shop in Permude, used to close it at 10pm daily and then visit a jim and would return home at 11pm. Even on Thursday, he had closed the shop and then visited the jim. A group of around twelve men which arrived to the jim at around 10.40am insisted to close the jim at 9pm daily. As there was permission to run the jim till 11pm in the night, he had asked them to approach the jim owner if the jim has to be closed, said Mohammed Ashik who is being treated in hospital.
Mohammed Ashiq has alleged that the team had begun to assault suddenly saying that don’t speak much.
It is also alleged that the group belonged to sangh parivar association.
