UDUPI: John Vikram Martis, 34, from Bailakere, Malpe, died in a bomb blast in Afghanistan on Tuesday. He was an accountant with NATO troops stationed there and had lived in Afghanistan for the past four years.
On June 28, John was supposed to be relocated to Dubai.
His plans were changed due to a bomb blast at the airport on June 27. He was to travel on July 4.
The body is expected to arrive here in four or five days. John was single and is survived by his father, mother and two siblings. The grieving family did not speak to the media.
