Four men arrested for murder of rowdy-sheeter Vijeeth

Mangaluru, October 31: City crime branch (CCB) police have arrested four persons in connection with the murder of a rowdy-sheeter Vijeeth (29), that took place at Moodushedde Junction near Vamanjoor in the early morning of Thursday October 29th.

The arrested are namely Muhammed Altaf (21), and Raghavendra alias Raghu (30) both from Shivanagara, Shamsheer alias Dam (21) from Moodushedde Shalepadavu, and Havith Poojary (21) from Gokarna.

Vijeeth, was murdered using deadly weapons late night on Wednesday when he had been out of his house at about 6pm.

The news that Vijeeth was murdered was conveyed to his father by a neighbour named Udaya. Later, a case was filed in Kavoor police station. Vijeeth, was an accused in some cases relating to theft and murder attempts.

The CCB police, during investigation, learnt that the murder was done due to pre-existing enmity. It is said Vijeeth used to create a scene often over petty issues in Moodushedde area, and many people were frustrated due to this.

It is alleged that few weeks ago, he had entered into the house of Raghavendra alias Raghu, and attacked him with a sharp weapon and a complaint regarding this incident had been filed in Kavoor police station.

The police during probe learnt that Raghavendra along with a few friends, had made a plan to kill Vijeeth.

Raghavendra also faces cases related to murders which were committed earlier.

The other accused, Havith, faces a attempt to murder case at Ullal police station.

Presently the accused are in the custody of Kavoor police.
