Madikeri, October 31: Union Law Minister DV DV Sadananda Gowda’s son, Karthik Gowda, entered into wedlock with Rajashree, daughter of Kudakandi Nanaiah- a businessman in Kushalnagar, Kodagu district. The couple tied the knot in the presence of family members, guests and well-wishers.
The grand wedding ceremony was held on October 30th at Raitha Sahakara Bhavan in Kushalnagar. The ceremony witnessed a huge crowd of guests from near and far.
Central Minister Menaka Gandhi, including Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vaala, BJP leaders from Centre and State, former State Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar, former State Chief Minister B S Yedurappa, former minister Shobha Karandlaje, former minister CT Ravi, Subramanya Naidu, former minister Shriramalu, State BJP President Prahalad Joshi, district ministers M Appachu Ranjan, and KG Bopaiah, former ministers of the district, Deputy Commissioner Meer Anis Ahmed, District Superintendent of Police Vartika Katiyar, and various other political party leaders arrived at the wedding and blessed the new couple.
Famous Shamiyana and Decorator Company from Bangalore undertook the lighting arrangement, shamiyana, flower decoration, fountain and music arrangements.
The in-charge of food arrangement was undertaken by the hotel run by bride’s father- businessman Koodkandi Nanaiah.
As many dignitaries were invited for the wedding ceremony, vehicle parking facilities were done at the Jatra Maidan in Kushalnagar and also at the ground in Raitha Sahakara Bhavan. Parking facility for 500 vehicles was done at the Raitha Sahakara Bhavan ground and for 2000 vehicles at the Jatra Maidan in Kushalnagar.
Led by Somwarpet sub-divisional deputy Superintendent of Police CW Poovaiah, the police officers and over 150 police personnel’s took the security measures to avoid untoward incidents.
A modern Audi car was presented as a wedding gift to bride groom Karthik Gowda.
