Made his stance clear on proposed thermal power plant at Niddodi
Mangalore, July 08: Abhayachandra Jain, minister for youth affairs and sports has inaugurated a fully furnished market at Kemral near Pakshikere on July 8, Monday.
Addressing the press reporters after inaugurating the new market building at Kemral, outskirt of Mangalore, he broke his silence and made it clear that he was against the proposed ultra-mega thermal plant at Niddodi, which comes under the jurisdiction of Moodbidri constituency ,where he represents.
He also said that in fact he was the first leader to oppose from Moodbidri when the idea of project first mooted by erstwhile BJP government headed by Jagadish Shettar and promised to take up the matter with state chief minister Siddaramaiah and union government and see that idea of proposed thermal plant at Niddodi is dropped.
