Valedictory ceremony of ‘Ayush Festival’: Ayush Arogya card distributed to 2,500 people.

Mangaluru, December 21: The culmination program of the two-day long ‘AYUSH Festival’ jointly organized by the Karnataka government’s  AYUSH Department, DK district administration and AYUSH Foundation  at Dr Shivaram Karanth Nisargadhama in Pilikula  was held on Sunday, December 20th.

Youth Service and Sports Minister Abhaychandra Jain addressed the gathering and said, the AYUSH therapy has retained its significance in spite the domination of Allopathic treatment. By systematically organizing the AYUSH Festival in Pilikula, a good message has been delivered about the Indian Medical practice to the people of the state, he said.

Chief guests on this occasion, MLA JR Lobo, and Capt Ganesh Karnik also spoke on this occasion.

Dr M Mohan Alva, Chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation, president of Ayush festival- Dr Ashajyoti Rai, Moodushedde Gram Panchayat president Hariprasad Shetty, Executive Director of Pilikula Nisargadhama- Prabhakar Sharma, District AYUSH officer Dr Devdas, N.T Anchan, Mohammed Iqubal, Dr Narayana Mahaveer and others were present.

AYUSH cards distributed by 2,500 members:

During the culmination programme, Dr Satish Krishna read the program report of the two day long AYUSH Festival and said, on the first day, about 15,000 people participated in the event and on the second day about 12,000 people have participated. AYUSH health cards were distributed to about 2,500 interested people, he informed.
