Derogatory messages against Vidya Dinakar posted in social sites hours after complaint filed against Bhajrang Dal leader and activists

Mangaluru, December 23: Few hours after Vidya Dinakar filed a complaint against the Bhajrang Dal leader Sharan Pumpwell and its activists in Pandeshwar police station here; derogatory comments against her were found to be posted in social sites.

Puneeth Attavara, a Bhajrang Dal leader in his facebook account has posted comments against Vidya Dinakar and had posed open challenge to her. In addition, many people have reportedly shared the post uploaded by Puneeth in their facebook account.

In addition, the derogatory remarks against Vidya Dinakar has been widely being circulated through whatsapp too, it is said.

Mangaluru, December 23: It is said, Bajrang Dal activist has deleted the derogatory comments which he had posted in facebook against Vidya Dinakar, after she informed the matter to the City Police Commissioner.

The derogatory comments were posted after a complaint was filed by the co-ordinator of Citizens Forum for Mangaluru development, urging the police to take suitable actions against the people who forcefully stopped the screening of SRK’s movie ‘Dilwale’ in various theatres in the city.

After noticing the derogatory comments in facebook, Vidya Dinakar immediately sent its screen shot to the city police commissioner and urged him to look into the matter.

It is gathered that, sometime after Vidya Dinakar brought to the notice of the police about the comments that were posted in the facebook account of Puneeth Raj Kottari; they were deleted.
