Puttur, December 26: A youth lost his life in a accident that took place in Peramogaru, Kedila village on the National Highway-75 on Friday, December 25th.
The deceased has been identified as Sandesh (24), resident of Kadri in Mangaluru.
It is learnt, while the bike rider attempted to overtake a lorry in a turn near Peramogaru, the bike collided head on with a car.
As an impact, Sandesh was thrown onto the road and was critically injured. He died on the spot, it is said.
Pavan suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital.
Sandesh was pillion rider on a bike with Pavan of Ramakunja. They were travelling from Mangaluru towards Uppinangady, it is gathered.
Puttur town police have registered a case.
