Flyover construction work at Pumpwell begins.

Mangaluru, December 28: The work on the construction of flyover has commenced at Pumpwell circle.

The proposed flyover connects the stretch between Karnataka Bank headquarters and Indiana hospital. The flyover has a length of 600 meters and width of 20 metres. The flyover will have two lanes.

Navayuga constructions which is doing the road work from Kundapur to Talapady is said to have taken up the work on flyover.

The company officials said that they have coordinated with city traffic police regarding the traffic arrangement during the construction of the flyover. The work will be complete before the arrival of the monsoon, they said.

Only the vehicles between Ullal and Nanthoor will have to use the flyover. Others travelling towards Kankanady, Bendore well, and Padil will use the road below the flyover.

By January end, the work on Yekkur to Talapady road will be complete. Later on, road works from Yekkur to Pumpwell will be taken up.
