Mangaluru, January 01: As a hotel was kept open till late night, the owner of the hotel was allegedly assaulted by SI during late night, it is learnt.
It is gathered that, the injured hotel owner is admitted in a private hospital in Thokkotu.
It is learnt that a person named Aboobacquer Siddique- owner of Hotel Welcome located near the Mosque in Mudipu junction has been assaulted.
Aboobacquer Siddique who has been admitted in hospital has complained that SI Sudhakar all of a sudden had entered his hotel on the late night of Wednesday, brandished a machete and assaulted him.
The hotel was opened till late night 2 O’Clock!
It is learnt from the Konaje police sources that, while on rounds, it was observed that Aboobacquer Siddique had kept open his hotel till late night 1.30 am. With regard to this, he was warned and asked to immediately close the hotel and then moved forward on rounds. While returning, it was 2 am. But Siddique had kept his hotel open. He was once again ordered to close the hotel, and at that moment Siddique closed his hotel, it is said. Meanwhile, a machete that was used to cut the tender coconut which was kept outside was given to Siddique to keep it inside, it is learnt.
