Mangaluru, Jan 2: Traffic movement was effected at for about an hour on the morning of Saturday January 2nd after a big container got stuck and stood across the road near Pumpwell here.
The said container was moving from the city towards Kasargod during the peak traffic hour.
When the driver of the container was trying to turn the vehicle from in front of Indiana Hospital near Pumpwell Circle, in the direction of the highway leading to Kerala, the vehicle got stuck between the divider and the footpath.
Although the driver had tried a lot to move the vehicle, his efforts went in vain.
As a result buses, cars, trucks, and other vehicles were stranded at the spot. The two-wheeler riders managed to pass through the narrow space.
Traffic police arrived at the spot, and after putting efforts for a long time, were successful in making the container to move ahead.
