Mangalore: MP Nalin Kumar kateel has visited the niddodi power plant project planned spot and investigated the area on Monday.
Addressing the villagers, he said that the government is lying by saying that it doesn’t contain the believable source, but government officials have investigated the spot, hence this project is un official.’ At any cost i don’t leave the project to exist and i will be there with people’, he assured the general public. He stressed that he won’t let the power plantation to start and he will stand as volunteer to the associated protest against the power plantation.
Speaking to media persons, he said that the protest is excluding of politics. ‘Due to the election in the state i couldn’t able to present the matter in the parliamentary session, but i will present the issue in next session. There is need to collect the official information from Energy Minister and along with local leaders i will meet the Energy Minister and explain the actuality’, he said.
‘I didn’t have much information about this place, hence i visited. I don’t let such cultivated land to plant the power project’, he urged. Meanwhile he spoke with residents and listened their problems.
BJP leader Jagadeesh, Umanatha Kotyan, Shanthiprasad Hegde, Mathr Boomi Samrakshana Samiti president Alphonse D’ souza and others were present.
