Mangalore, July 31: Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat CEO Dr. Thulasi Maddineni said that the concerned officials should take prevention methods to control the problems of students mid- day meals.
After meeting the ISKON Institution of Urva Market, she spoke with media persons and said that investigation is on the process about founding of dead rat in the sambar and report will be submitted to government.
Regarding dead rat in the sambar of mid-day meal, which found at Krishnapura government high school, Zilla Panchayat CEO visited the cooking spot and checked the every stages of cleaning.
ISKON Akshaya Patra division Manager Nandanacharyadaas said that the rat found in the Sambar was out of our knowledge.’ ISKON uses modern technology for preparing the food as well as more than 100 degree Celsius temperature for boiling purpose and If rat had fallen it would have melted out. We check the Sambar & other foods before supply and we didn’t find anything’ he emphasized. We supply the food through our vehicle and in every week there is test control also’, he added.
