Speaking after inauguration of ‘Student Union 2013-14’ organised at Besant College, he advised the students to act with positive attitude and faith in oneself and thus strive to achieve objectives of student union with faith and team spirit. Quoting examples of most successful women in the field of art, business and media, he said Besant College with its best education facilities has been providing a chance for talented girls to emerge as successful and worthwhile individuals.
College Principal Prof. Pushpalatha B K administered the oath to the new student’s union office bearers of the year.
Meanwhile, Niharika BM was sworn in as the president of students’ union, following Mufeena, Sushmitha Achar and Pooja Bangera as vice-president, secretary and joint secretary respectively. All the association secretaries and class representatives were also took oath during the ceremony.
Prof Indira Devi, Dean Arts, Dr Keerthi Devi S, Dean, languages and Dr Praveen KC, Dean Commerce were present among others.
