Udipi; August 04: Condemning the government’s act of including a defamatory picture of Jhansi Rani Lakshmi Bai in the social studies text book of Standard V CBSE and against Andhra government for grabbing the land of ISCON in the name of Shree Krishna Metro railway project, the Hindu Jana Jaagrithi Samiti on Sunday, August 4 staged a protest in front of DC’s office, near service bus stand.
As per the reports, Rani Lakshmi Bai has allegedly been pictured with hookah.
‘Rani Lakhmi Bai shed her life for the country. She was a fearless woman who fought for independence. She served as an inspiration to revolutionists like Subhash Chandra Bose to fight for the country.
In the protest HJJS members,Dinesh C Nayak,HJJS main leader and lawyer,Harshavardhana Hoode,Chittaranjan Hegde,Vishwa Hindu Parishath zilla member,Govindas,Vijaya Kumar from ISCON and other religious lovers were participated in the protest.
