Mangalore, Aug .7: A public grievance meet headed by J.R.Lobo, Mangalore South MLA, was held in MCC Ex-Depty Mayor Anusuya Maben’s house in Dambel, Ashoknagara, here on Wednesday, August 07, 2013.
The main issue that has been put forth by the public was regarding the underground drainage system, like manhole overflow, leakage, pipeline damage and so on.
Road widening (mainly from Urwastore to shediguri), no proper waste management, garbage collection (door to door collection), no fogging and spraying, Electricity, waste water management were the other issues those were a matter of discussion in the meet.
J R Lobo later along with others visited the spot and examined the problems and then discussed certain issues with the respective engineers and officials and directed them to be punctual and strict with the works especially with relation to health and basic necessities.
Radhakrishna corporator, Padmanabh Amin corporator, Nagaveni corporator, T K Sudhir, Krithin Kumar, Satishish, Chethan, Corporation officials Rajashekar, Majunath Shetty, Anil Kumar, Sudarshan, Jayanath and others were present.
