Mangaluru, Jan 8: Mangaluru’s preeminent 137-year-old education institution St Aloysius College as hosted a spectacular musical event on January 7, 2017, to celebrate the achievements of their alumni spanning over a century and their contributions to many spectrum of society. The event named ‘Concert 4 Aloysius ‘17’ held at the historic St Aloysius centenary campus grounds.
Countless young men and women have passed through the portals of this great institution and have carved an enviable niche for themselves in India and in countries across the world. Thanks to the name and fame they have brought to their Alma mater, the college stands poised to become a University.
Ex-Aloysians from across the globe have come together and organized this unique event which was a mesmerizing evening filled with ‘Peace, Love & Music’. live performancesfrom renowned Indian ethnic musician – Guru Kiran, Mangaluru’s iconic rock, metal band from the 80s – Livin’ Machine, multi-talented band SAC Rock Revival and many other performances by talented Aloysian musicians both past and present, national and international.
Concert 4 St Aloysius ’17 is being sponsored by Thumbay Group UAE – leading healthcare providers, KEF Infra – the world’s largest integrated facility for offsite construction and South India’s multifaceted conglomerate The Yenepoya Group.
Among the prominent sponsors of the event is india/UAE based well known businessman Mr. Harish Sherigar who is producing MARCH 22 a Kannada movie with a unique story line. The movie has already generated a lot of interest among Kannadigas in Mangalore/Bangalore /UAE.
