Mangalore, August 22: Dakshina Kannada Milk Production federation has decided to provide the financial support to farmers’ children for studying of veterinary doctor and agriculture related courses through Dairy Welfare Trust.
Addressing the presspersons Dakshina Kannada Milk Production Unit President Raviraj Hegde said that in the Dakshina Kannada cooperation unit, there are necessities of veterinary doctors for the veterinary activity management. Hence, this project is started to fulfil the lacks and there is need of 4 veterinary doctors in the district and total 705 in the state. Regarding this, if anyone interested to pursue the course, their educational fee will be paid through dairy unit along with hostel facility, he said. Nearly, 3 lakhs has been fixed for 5 years of course, he added.
‘Relating to dairy management education like agriculture science, dairy technology and gardening courses, nearly 15 lakh will be paid through dairy farmers’ welfare trust’, he said.
