Mangalore,sept. 12: As a part of the celebrations of 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and to commemorate the speech made by swami Vivekananda in the Chicago City on 11 september 1893, thousands of students from various colleges of Mangalore participated in the “The Run For India” rally.
The rally initiated from Jyothi circle & concluded at Kendra Maidan. The Committee also organised an formal ceremony on the occasion.
Mr. Dattatreya Hosabale, The joint general secretary of the RSS national committee was the main speaker of the event. His words encourged to invocate the values of Swami Vivekanada in our lives.
AGM of Corporation bank , Mr.Govinda Pai, Chief manager of Karnataka Bank Mr. Shrinivas Deshpande , MLC Capt. Ganesh Karnik were among the dignitaries present at the occasion.
