Mangalore,sep.12 : The dasamanotsava of Ganesh festival celebrated by Shree Siddivinayaka Prathistana and Sarvajanika Ganeshotsav Samti, Omkaranagara, Bunts Hostel concluded with colorful shobhayatra.
With the presence of managing trustee of Sidi vinayaka , Mr.Maladi Ajith Kumar Rai Kodia Guthu and the convener of Prathibhaneshwana Smt. Asha Jyoti Rai Sahastra Narikela Yaga was held in the morning. After the Yaga, valedictory function was held. Forest, environment and ecology minister B. Ramanath Rai was the chief guest in the program. Five youths were facilitated in this occasion who worked for the success of the fest from last three days.
The colorful Shobhayatra and immersion procession of Lord Ganesh idol was held in the evening along with enticing tableaus, attractive fire work show, Kalladka Gombe (puppets). The procession started from Omkara Nagar and passed through Bunts Hostel Circle, P.V.S, Dongarakeri, Newchitra theatre, Carstreet Venkataramana temple and culminating at carstreet where the idol will be immersed in Mahammayee Temple Lake.
Managing trustee of Sidi vinayaka Maladi Ajith Kumar Rai Kodia Guthu and the convener of Prathibhaneshwana Smt. Asha Jyoti Rai, Sarvajanika Sri Ganeshotsava Samiti president Kadri Navaneeth Shetty, members of the committee Manjunath Bhandary Shiddai, Nitteguthu Raviraj Shetty, Krishna Prasad Rai Bellipady, K. Balakrishna Shetty Bellibettu Guthu, Purushotham Bhandary Adyar, Deepak Shetty Kudrady guthu, Sudhakar Poonja Surathkal, Niveditha N Shetty Bellippady, Kittanna Rai Karamogaru Guthu, Ganesh Malli Kavoor, Prasad Rai Kallimar, Krishnaraj Salaya Adyar Guthu and the devotees from distance places participated in this occasion.
