Mangalore, Sep 19: Days after ABVP’s protest outside the MLA J.R. Lobo’s house demanding for better facilities in government run hostels, Lobo paid surprise visits to two government hostels on Thursday, September 19.
Lobo visited hostels those in Ashoknagar and Kadri. He examined the kitchen, toilets, dining room, store room and observe the standard of maintenance. He instructed the staff to work hard towards improving the system of the hostel.
He personally interacted with the students and listened to their problems. He further advises them to be more focused on studies and make themselves, their parents and institutions proud.
I will be carrying out more surprise visits to the hostels in the coming days. If you are facing any problem, bring it to the notice of the concerned or the local corporate,” Lobo told to the students.
Officials Renuka Prasad, Arun Furthado, Hemanth, Nagaveni, Radhakrishna, Denis D’Silva, T K Sudhir, Chethan Kumar, Sathish Kumar, Krithin Kumar and other officials were present in the occasion.
