Mangalore, Oct 2 : The Hindu Suraksha Samiti Adyar staged a protest on Wednesday October 2 near Sahyadri College, Adyar here demanding justice for the death of Akshata who was found dead under mysterious circumstances on September 24.
Addressing the crowd, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said, “The police department has failed to investigate and media has remained silent against this issue. This rape case has been neglected. Rape and murder cases have been increasing day by day in our society.
In Akshata’s case, the police have been unable to trace the accused Madan. This shows the weakness of the police department he added.
Sathyajeet Suratkal, leader of Hindu Jagarana Vedike said that “Madan, who has been absconding from the day of Akshata’s death, is still not arrested, which shows involvement of hidden hands in the case. The entire Hindu society will come out to the street and protest if the case is not solved he warned.
Subhash Padil, Dayanand Adyar and other members of the samiti and many people were take part in the protest.
