Mangalore, March 31: It is reported that Praksh Sherigar, MD of M/s Avinash Mosaic Industries went to Kadri Temple to offer prayers. As he was coming out of Durgaparameshwari Temple situated adjacent to Ganapanthi Temple in the premises, he heard a sound of gunshot from nowhere.
On looking around he found a bullet lying on the ground to his surprise. It is still a mystery who fired the shot and why?
However it is believed that only CCTV installed in the temple premise might provide some clue.
ACP Kavitha, Circle inspector Raghav Padil and other police personnel rushed to the spot.
Speaking to media persons later, Prakash Sherigar brushed aside the incident saying that it might be some stray shot fired by some person. He asserted that he has no threat to his life.
Probe is on. No casualties reported.
