Mumbai: The weekend didn’t just come and go for Bigg Boss host Salman Khan. With his ‘Dabangg’ style he managed to reach back in time and turn a few pages of the ‘ex files’.
On a recent episode of Bigg Boss season 7, while speaking to one of the contestants Shilpa Saklani, he playfully hinted at the fact that she really resembled his ex-love Aishwarya Rai, eyes and all. He even teased Apoorva Agnihotri saying this may have been the reason he married Shilpa.
After he was sure everyone’s ears were glued to what he was saying, Salman also made a subtle show of ‘correcting’ himself and instead addressing her as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Oh, Sallu!
That’s not exactly it. Cut to the episode a few weeks back where he compared another contestant, actress Elli Avram to another one of his exes, actress Katrina Kaif. It almost seems as if the little devil in him is taking over.
While Salman may have been somewhat, well, himself while talking about similarities in appearance between his exes and other ladies, we feel compelled to talk about how using this sharp sense of perception he may have purposely chosen newbie starlets based purely on how similar they looked to Aishwarya or Katrina.
Enter Sneha Ullal, our case in point. No one can deny the stark resemblance between Sneha – who seems to have started living underground post ‘Lucky: No Time for Love’ opposite Salman – and Mrs. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. In fact, Sneha reportedly claimed that while similarities between her and the ex Miss World may not have helped her get more work in Bollywood, it did manage to draw a lot of attention to her.
Another actress who was most noted for her uncanny resemblance to Salman’s other ex Katrina Kaif, is actress Zarine Khan. She debuted in Bollywood with Anil Sharma’s ‘Veer’ opposite, no prizes for guessing, Salman Khan. Though she seems to have fared better in Bollywood compared to her Doppelgangers Inc. buddy Sneha Ullal, she still isn’t quite there yet.
Is Salman still hanging on too tight to the past, or does he simply love feeding gossip trolls considering almost all of his past relationships have been tumultuous. Or may be it’s a little bit of the devil’s charm rubbing off on him since this seems to explain best why Salman won’t let these topics die.
