Kundapur; Nov 22: After inaugurating literature’s walk towards seniors (Hiriyaredege Sahityada Nadige) programme, jointly organized by Kannada Sahitya parishat, Udupi unit, rotary club Udupi and rotary district 2080 zone 2 as a part of Kannada Rajotsava monthly philosophical and cultural series programme, Neelavara Surendra Adiga said in his speech that any language which gets destroyed means, the root of the culture in that land is keep on losing.
In this context for the progress, growth and for the survival of the language, the Kannada Sahitya parishat is organizing various programmes.In students and literature lovers, in order to create an interest in Kannada literature, which spreads kannada aroma,Kavi-Kaavya-gamaka( poet-poem-recital) towards seniors, literature’s walk, Sahitya towards school etc programmes are being continuously conducted.
Kundapur Narayana Kharvi, president of Kannada sahitya parishat, Kundapur taluk unit, has chaired the function. G.Ganapati Shipa, local social service volunteer, has been felicitated on the occasion.
Prof.Upendra Somayaji, president, Kannada sahitya parishat udupi taluk unit, Gangolli former mandala Pradhana B.sadananda Shenoy and Shree Gurujyothi sports club’s honorary president Vijaya Kharvi graced the occasion.
