Mangalore, Dec 3: A person was found dead at the Bunder Old Port in Mangalore on December 3, Tuesday. Police suspect this to be a case of murder as injury marks were found on the head of the man.
The deceased has been identified as Haneef (45), a residnet of Kotepura, Ullal. He is used to work on the boats, near the docks.
The body was found in a pool of blood outside a shop named Shree Devi Marine Agencies, located opposite to the area between the jetty and Kasaba Bengre where boats are docked.
The report said that Haneef had head injuries and initial investigations suggested that he might have been murdered.
Pandeshwar police arrived at the spot and registered a case. The investigation is in progress.
