Mangalore : The 19th Inter-Collegiate Cricket Tournament for Physiotherapy Colleges under the auspices of Dr. M.V Shetty Memorial Trust, Mangalore was held on 5th February 2014 at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium, NMPT, Panambur, Mangalore.
Inaugurating the event Mr. Mohd. Asif, Chairman, Amaco Group, Saudi Arabia said that himself having played in so many league matches during his student days & is also a great fan of cricket, encouraged the participants.
Presiding over the function Founder Secretary of the Trust, Dr. M Ramgopal Shetty asked the students to play the matches not only for the sake of winning but with true spirit and sportsmanship and to develop a healthy character. In all 9 boys team and 6 Girls team participated in the event. Prof. Govinda Naik, Administrative Officer (Acd) of the Trust was the guest of honour . Earlier Prof. Gladson Jose, Principal, Dr.M.V.Shetty College Of Physiotherapy welcomed the gathering.
Dr. Ifthikar Ali, Student Welfare Officer of Dr. M.V.Shetty Memorial Trust Colleges and Syndicate Member of RGUHS, the organizing Secretary of the event; Mr.Mohd.Suhail, Asst. Prof. Dr. M.V.Shetty Memorial Trust Colleges, and Member, Board of Studies, RGUHS, and faculty of Physiotherapy college were present. Mr.Meryl Colaco Joe hosted the program and Mr.Manohar M., Physical Director, Dr. M.V.Shetty Memorial Trust Colleges, proposed the vote of thanks.
