Mangalore, Feb 14: The activists of Sri Rama Sene staged a protest in front of the Besant Women’s College on February 14, Friday condemning the celebration of Valentine’s Day.
Addressing the protestors, Kumar Malemar, District President of Sri Rama Sena condemned the celebration of Western culture by the youths. He also said that the SRS activists have visited many shops asking the shopkeepers not to sell V-Day cards.
The Hotel owners have been urged not to organize any Valentine’s day events and if any untoward incident takes place, then district administration will be solely responsible.
They also burnt Valentine’s Day cards sold from shops.
