Kundapur; Mar 11: In an incident, wherein the front tyre of private bus, which was plying to Balamballi, near Kalthodu from Kundapur burst and caused it to topple into the roadside ditch injuring five passengers and driver of the bus sustained fatal injuries and who was admitted in Manipal private hospital. This incident took place on Mar 11, Tuesday morning at 09.45 am at Daarimakki in Kalthod road near Byndoor.
The critically injured driver has been identified as Daranatha and remaining injured passengers have been identified as Reshma Honnavar (20) Narasimha Mogaveera (45) Babu Kalthodu (28) and Devadas Bhandary (35)
Details of the incident:
When the private bus was plying to Balamballi via Kundapur-Kalthodu road, the front tyre of the bus exploded at Daarimakki, resulting the driver to lose control of the vehicle, causing the vehicle to topple into a roadside ditch. In this incident, five people, which include driver, have been injured. The fatally injured driver was admitted to Manipal private hospital for treatment and the remaining injured passengers are undergoing treatment at Kundapur private hospital.
A case has been registered in Byndoor police station in this regard.
