Mangalore, Mar 18: Aam Aadmi Party candidate or Lok Sabha elections from Dakshina Kannada constituency M R Vasudeva said that the recent allegations made against him was part of a conspiracy by few individuals to weaken the growing party in the upcoming elections.
Speaking at the press meet held AAP district office on March 18, Tuesday, he said that allegations made on him were unsubstantiated and baseless.
He also said that as an airport director it was his duty to work as a bridge between the central airport authorities and the locals when the airport required land for its expansion. It was necessary for the local families residing in the area or else both project and the rehabilitation package would have been further delayed. These baseless allegations are done with the sole intention to lower the party’s prospects in view of the coming elections.
He said that his association with organizations such as RSS, Bharat Seva Dal as an adolescent is inconsequential. He had established associations and developed relationships with members of all parties and several dignitaries as a former Director of the Mangalore International Airport.
Speaking on the Yettinahole or Nethravati diversion project, Mr Vasudeva said that AAP would oppose this controversial project which will harm the district in the coming days and will see that this project will not be implemented.
AAP conveners Dharmendra, Rohan Shiri and S Nandagopal were present at the press meet.
