Udupi: Devadiga Yuva Vedik, Nadashree Seva Trust and Seetharama Mahila Bhanaja Mandali have successfully conducted 3rd year merit cum means scholarship for Devadiga students, supported by eminent Devadiga donors. These organizations consistently supporting education by giving fees to whoever approached, distributing scholarship through Devadiga organisations and also by conducting career guidance program since years.
The program started by invoking the almighty by Ashwini Bailakere, introduction by Yuva Vedike president Karthik Kumar and welcome address by secretary of Yuva vedike Prabhakar Devadiga.
Inaugurating the program president of Karnataka Rajya Devadigara Sangha Vaman Maroly appreciating the initiation said “Youth participation and innovative ideas are the key success of any organization, there is a need of youth active participation in the administration of organisations”.
Chief Guest of the function former Vice Chancellor of Kuvempu University Dr B S Sherigar said education opens doors for people of all backgrounds, that is the only key to success. Requested all donors of the community to contribute towards education.
Keynote speaker, Management guru Dr. Devraj enlightened the students and parents by narrating successful stories of management leaders, skills including practices in day to day.
Presiding the program president of Nadashree Seva Trust Shridhar Devadiga said at present other than these programs some students are supported with one year full fees. But in future there is a plan to adapt entire education of best performing financially poor students of the community. He also added in future these organization will visit students personally to identify and support the needy.
In this special occasion Dr. Abhijith Kumar, Dr. Kavitha V S, Dr. Soujanya K and Dr. Pooja G S were honored for their achievement and contribution in medical field. Ex-President of Mangalore Devadiga sangha youth wing Karunakar M H who donated blood for more than 50 times and also PU topper of the community who stood 7th place in the state were also honored by the guests for their remarkable achievements.
Merit cum scholarship was honored to the first five toppers in SSLC and PU category, more than 180 students of SSLC and II PU passed students were given scholarship. Stationary and umbrella was given to 175 students of 7th standard.
The program was compered by the treasurer Praveen Kumar. Wakesh Devadiga, Prakash Sherigar and other members cooperated the stage coordination.
