ಮಂಗಳೂರು: ಅಮೇರಿಕನ್ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ ಆಫ್ ನ್ಯೂರೋಲಜಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸ್ಕಾಲರ್‌ಶಿಪ್ ಅವಾರ್ಡ್‌ಗೆ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ವೈದ್ಯೆ ಡಾ. ಸಲ್ಮಾ ಸುಹಾನ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ದಾವಣಗೆರೆಯ ಎಸ್‌ಎಸ್‌ಐ‌ಎಂಎಸ್‌ಆರ್‌ಸಿ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನ್ಯೂರೋಲಜಿ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೂಪರ್ ಸ್ಪೆಷಾಲಿಟಿ (ಡಿ‌ಎಂ) ವ್ಯಾಸಂಗ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಡಾ.ಸಲ್ಮಾ ಸುಹಾನಾ ಅವರ ಸೆರೆಬ್ರಲ ವೀನಸ್ ತ್ರಂಬೋಸಿಸ್ ಕುರಿತ ಅಧ್ಯಯನವನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ, ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಲು ಮೇ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಫಿಲಡೆಲ್ಫಿಯಾದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ನರರೋಗ ತಜ್ಞರ ಸಮಾವೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಡಾ.ಸಲ್ಮಾ ಸುಹಾನ ಅವರು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಫಾದರ್ ಮುಲ್ಲರ್ ಮೆಡಿಕಲ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಎಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕ ಪಡೆದು, ರಾಜೀವ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ವಿಶ್ವ ವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕದೊಂದಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಎಂಬಿಬಿ‌ಎಸ್ ಪದವಿ ಪಡೆದು, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕೆಂಪೇಗೌಡ ಇನ್‌ಸ್ಟಿಟ್ಯೂಟ ಆಫ್ ಮೆಡಿಕಲ ಸೈನ್ಸೆಸ್(ಕಿಮ್ಸ) ನಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರಲ ಮೆಡಿಸಿನ್ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತರ (ಎಂಡಿ) ಪದವಿ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದರು. ಪ್ರಶ್ತಿಗೆ ವಿಶ್ವದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದ ೩೦ ಮಂದಿ ವೈದ್ಯರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಡಾ.ಸಲ್ಮಾ ಒಬ್ಬರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಸೌದಿ ಅರೇಬಿಯಾದ ಖಸಿಂ ಯುನಿವರ್ಸಿಟಿಯ ದಂತ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಡಾ.ಶಕಿಲ ಎಂ. ಅವರ ಪತ್ನಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಡಾ.ಸುಹಾನ, ಎನ್‌ಎಂಪಿಟಿಯ ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಉಪನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಖಾಲಿದ್ ತಣ್ಣೀರುಬಾವಿ ಅವರ ಪುತ್ರಿ ಮತ್ತು ನಿವೃತ್ತ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧೀಶರಾದ ಮೂಸಕುಞಿ ನಾಯರ್ಮೂಲೆ ಅವರ ಸೊಸೆ.

Dr.Salma Suhana selected for the prestigious 2019 international scholarship award by the American Academy of Neurology

Mangalore : Suhana pursuing Superspeciality Neurology at SSIMS&RC,Davangere has been selected for the prestigious 2019 international scholarship award, by the American Academy of Neurology.

Dr.Salma Suhana completed her M.B.B.S at the Father Muller medical college & hospital being the best outgoing student.

She has two gold medals from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. she completed her M.D at Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bengalore.

Dr.Salma Suhana native of Mangalore has been awarded in recognition for her study on Cerebral venous thrombosis.

American Academy of Neurology has invited her to receive this honour at the Annual conference of the American Academy of Neurology to be held at Philadelphia USA in May 2019; an event to be attended by distinguished neurologists.

She is one amongst 30 selected recipients of this prestigious honour from all over the world.

Dr.Salma Suhana is wife of Dr.Shakil.M currently working in the college of Dentistry at Qassim University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Daughter of Mr Khalid Tannirbhavi Retd. deputy director
