ಬಹ್ರೈನ್‌ನಿಂದ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ತಲುಪಿದ 40 ಮೆಟ್ರಿಕ್ ಟನ್ ಲಿಕ್ವಿಡ್ ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್

ಮಂಗಳೂರು, ಮೇ 05 : ದೇಶದ ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ಕೊರತೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಗಿಸುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತೀಯ ನೌಕಾಪಡೆಯು ಆಪರೇಷನ್ ಸಮುದ್ರ ಸೇತು- 2 ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಯೋಜನೆ ಮೂಲಕ ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆ ದೇಶಗಳಿಂದ ನೌಕಾಪಡೆಯ ಏಳು ಹಡಗುಗಳು ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ತುಂಬಿದ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಅಗತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಹೊತ್ತು ತರಲಿದೆ.

ಇದರ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಬಹ್ರೈನ್‌ನಿಂದ 40 ಮೆ. ಟನ್ ಆಮ್ಲಜನಕ್ ಹೊತ್ತು ಹೊರಟಿದ್ದ ನೌಕಾಪಡೆಯ ಐಎನ್ ಎಸ್ ತಲ್ವಾರ್ ಹಡಗು ಬುಧವಾರ ಮದ್ಯಾಹ್ನ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಬಂದರಿಗೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದೆ.

ದೇಶವು COVID-19 ರ ಎರಡನೇ ತರಂಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೋರಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಂಕ್ರಾಮಿಕ ರೋಗದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಆಮ್ಲಜನಕದ ಅಗತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಎನ್**ಎಮ್‌ಪಿಟಿಯು ಸಮುದ್ರ ನೌಕೆಯ ಹಡಗಿನ “INS TALWAR” ಅನ್ನು 40 ಮೆಟ್ರಿಕ್ ಟನ್ ಲಿಕ್ವಿಡ್ ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ಅನ್ನು ಐಎಸ್‌ಒ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಬಿದ ಸಮುದ್ರ ಸೇತು ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ತರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.

ಬಹ್ರೈನ್ ನ ಮನಾಮಾ ಬಂದರಿನಿಂದ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ಎರಡು ಕ್ರಯೋಜನಿಕ್ ಐಸೋ ಕಂಟೈನರ್ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಐಎನ್‌ಎಸ್ ತಲ್ವಾರ್ 40 ಮೆಟ್ರಿಕ್ ಟನ್ ಲಿಕ್ವಿಡ್ ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ಇದೆ.

ಕೊವೀಡ್ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುವ ಇತರ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಉಪಕರಣಗಳೂ ಈ ಹಡಗಿನ ಮೂಲಕ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ತಲುಪಿದೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಈ ಆಮ್ಲಜನಕವನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಕೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಐಐ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಭಾರತೀಯ ನೌಕಾಪಡೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದೆ. ದೇಶದ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಸಾಂಕ್ರಾಮಿಕ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ನಿವಾರಿಸಲು ಸೌಹಾರ್ದ ಸಂಕೇತವಾಗಿ ಬಹ್ರೇನ್ ಸಾಮ್ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಭಾರತೀಯ ರೆಡ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ಸೊಸೈಟಿಗೆ. ದ್ರವ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಆಮ್ಲಜನಕವನ್ನು ಭಾರತೀಯ ನೌಕಾಪಡೆಯು ತನ್ನ “ಆಪರೇಷನ್ ಸಮುದ್ರ ಸೆತು -2” ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದಿದೆ. ಹಡಗು ಆಗಮಿಸಿದಾಗ ಬಂದರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆರ್ತ್ ನಂ. 07 ಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಆದ್ಯತೆಯ ಬೆರ್ತಿಂಗ್ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.

ಐಎನ್‌ಎಸ್ ತಲ್ವಾರ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲ ಹಡಗು, ಇದು ಬಹ್ರೇನ್‌ನಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ 05.05.2021 ರಂದು 1330 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ನ್ಯೂ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಬಂದರು ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್‌ಗೆ ತಲುಪಿತು.

ಇದು ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿನ ಆಮ್ಲಜನಕದ ಅಗತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸಲು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಸಮುದ್ರ ಸೇತು -2 ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತೀಯ ನೌಕಾಪಡೆಯು ವಿವಿಧ ನೌಕಾಪಡೆಗಳಿಂದ ದ್ರವ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಆಮ್ಲಜನಕ ತುಂಬಿದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಉಪಕರಣಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಗಿಸಲು ಏಳು ನೌಕಾ ಹಡಗುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಯೋಜಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಬಂದರು ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ದ್ರವ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಆಮ್ಲಜನಕ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಗಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಬಂದರು, ಹಡಗು ಮತ್ತು ಜಲಮಾರ್ಗಗಳ ಸಚಿವಾಲಯದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದಂತೆ ಮೇಲಿನ ಹಡಗಿನ ಬೆರ್ಟಿಂಗ್ ಮತ್ತು ಎರಡು ಆಮ್ಲಜನಕ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಉಚಿತವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲು ಬಂದರು ತನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಹಡಗು ಆಗಮನದ ಸಂದರ್ಭ ಸಂಸದ ನಳಿನ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಕಟೀಲ್, ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಉಸ್ತುವಾರಿ ಸಚಿವ ಕೋಟಾ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ್ ಪೂಜಾರಿ, ಶಾಸಕರಾದ ಡಾ.ಭಾರತ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ವೇದವ್ಯಾಸ್ ಕಾಮತ್, ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಮೇಯರ್ ಪ್ರೇಮನಂದ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಎನ್‌ಎಂಪಿಟಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಡಾ.ವಿ.ವಿ.ರಮಣ, ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಡಾ. ರಾಜೇಂದ್ರ ಕೆ.ವಿ, ಕೋಸ್ಟ್ ಗಾರ್ಡ್ ಡಿಐಜಿ ಎಸ್.ಬಿ.ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ್, ಕೆಎಫ್‌ಡಿಸಿಯ ನಿತಿನ್ ಕುಮಾರ್, ಕಸ್ಟಮ್ಸ್ ಅಯುಕ್ತರು, ಎನ್‌ಎಂಪಿಟಿಯ ಹಿರಿಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು, ನೌಕಾಪಡೆ ಮತ್ತು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಡಳಿತದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

INS Talwar reaches NMPT carrying 40 metric tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen.

 As the country is battling the second wave of COVID-19 and facing excessive requirement of oxygen due to the outbreak of pandemic, NMPT handled first Navy vessel “INS TALWAR” carrying 40 Metric Tonnes Liquid Medical Oxygen filled in ISO tank containers under the Samudra Setu-II operation launched by the Indian Navy.

On arrival the vessel was given highest priority berthing in the Port at Berth No. 07. The above medical oxygen is donated by the Govt. of Kingdom of Bahrain to Indian Red Cross Society as a token of goodwill to overcome the current pandemic situation in the Country.

The liquid medical oxygen is transported by the Indian Navy under its “Operation Samudra Setu-II” which is launched to meet the oxygen requirement in the country.

Under the Samudra Setu-II operation Indian Navy has deployed seven naval vessels for shipping the liquid medical oxygen filled containers and associated medical equipments from various countries.

INS Talwar is the first vessel under the operation which embarked from Bahrain and headed back to India to reach New Mangalore Port Trust on 05.05.2021 at 1330hrs.

Hon’ble Minister of State for Muzrai & Backward Classes & District in-charge Shri Kota Srinivas Poojary,  Member of Parliament Shri Nalin Kumar Kateel, Dr. A. V. Ramana, Chairman, NMPT, MLA Dr. Bharath Shetty, MLA Shri Vedavyas Kamath, Dr. Rajendra K. V, IAS, Dy, Commissioner, Dakshina Kannada, Shri S. B. Venkatesh, DIG, Coastguard, Shri Premanand Shetty, Mayor Mangalore City, Shri Nithin Kumar, KFDC, Dy. Commissioner Customs, Senior Officers from NMPT, Navy & Officials from District Administration were present at the juncture.

The liquid medical oxygen containers will be transported to the destinations decided by the State Government. The Port extended all its resources for berthing of above vessel and handling of two oxygen containers on free of cost basis as per the directives of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways.
