Bangalore: The Bangalore hospital that botched up Shailaja’s surgery has been forced to act. It is expected to submit its relief plan for the victim to the government on Monday.
On Saturday, the Karnataka government threatened legal action against the hospital. Shailaja, a mother of two was left in a near vegetative state three years ago after her doctors botched up her surgery and then refused to take responsibility for it.
Shailaja’s husband had turned citizen journalist to get help for his wife. Meanwhile, Karnataka Health Minister SA Ramadas has asked the hospital management to have a dialogue with the family members and compensate them.
