Kannada Matinee idol Dr Rajkumar’s black and white classic, Kasturi Nivasa is gearing up to hit theatres this Friday. With no major releases lined up on the day, the film would sure be a crowd puller.
The film will release in a coloured version. The film is expected to release in over 100 screens across Karnataka.
KCN Movies, which transformed the 1964 black-and-white mythological film, Satya Harishchandra, into colour and released it in 2008, has breathed new life into Kasturi Nivasa.
For the first time in the country, digital enhancement technique has been used to embellish the colour quality. Over 60 experts worked for 20 months to colourise over 2.16 lakh frames of the movie.
