After hullaballoo Upendra cinema in Srinivasa Raju direction for producer CR Manohar is titled as ‘Shivam’. With this title the controversy also comes to an end. It was just a poster with no title in the beginning. The poster with Upendra in prayer mood with pistol next to him created talk. Director Srinivasaraju declared the title as ‘Basavanna’.
The objections mounted. He made another announcement as ‘Brahmana’, this title also kicked up a row. A symbol of three layers of ‘Vibhuthi’ and a third eye of lord Shiva was unveiled by producer CR Manohar. The poster was released at the first media meet. Director Srinivasa Raju strongly maintained that according to him the title is ‘Basavanna’.
When the film came with symbol title to regional censor board the advice came for a proper title. It was decided to keep the title as ‘Shivam’.
In all posters and records this Upendra, Ragini Dwivedi, Saloni starring Kannada cinema is ‘Shivam’. The film is all set for release in December 2014.
