This week’s big box-office release, Dharma Productions’ Ungli opened to average collections. The film directed by Rensil D’Silva stars Emraan Hashmi, Randeep Hooda, Sanjay Dutt and Kangana Ranaut.
According to a report in Koimoi, the film that was lauded for its trailer, managed to clock in a decent collection of Rs 3.60 crore at the ticket windows. The film opened slow with lesser occupancy in the morning shows but managed to notch up the numbers in evening and night shows. Ungli is reportedly faring better at multiplexes in comparision to single-screens.
Trade reports suggest that the film might pick up over the weekend, give the positive reviews and a good word-of-mouth.
Another film that released this week was the erotic-thriller Zid. Starring Karanvir Sharma, Mannara and Shraddha Das in lead roles, the film opened decently at the box-office. Koimoi states that the film managed to rake in Rs 2.82 crore at the ticket windows on the first Friday.
The report also suggests that the film is doing particularly well in single-screens and mass circuits given its content.
