It was not for their films was the specialty. It was a flashback to the days of Dr Rajakumar films. It was ‘Amara Jeevige’ Namana five hours long drawn out cultural evening at Bengaluru palace grounds on 29th night.
Tamil super star Rajanikanth and Telugu mega star Chiranjeevi turned up for morning function. Malayalam super star Mammooty was expected in the evening but he did not turn up.
The dance performance of Arjun (Tamil action hero) for a song of ‘Eradu Kanasu’ – Endendu Ninnanu marethu….with actress Haripriya received wonderful response from audience.
In the beginning Chief Minister Siddaramayya, KJ George, Roshan Baig, Smt Parvathamma Rajakumar, Umasri, Shiv, Raghu, Puneeth, Sharadamma sister of Dr Raj, HD Gangaraju, Sa Ra Govindu, SV Rajendra Singh babu, Tara, Jayamala on stage lighted the lamp to inaugurate the evening.
Kannada films actors such as Shivarajakumar, Upendra, Shashikumar, Malashri, Raghavendra Rajakumar, Puneeth Rajakumar, Ganesh, Amoolya, Vinod Raj, Sridhar, Akul Balaji, Priyanka Chandra, Balaraj, Chiranjeevi Sarja, Sanjana, Vijaya Raghavendra, Sri Murali, Meghana Raj, Pankaj, Roopika, Sonu, Naveen Krishna, Abijit, Shivakumar, Sharan, Yash, Shwetha Chengappa, Rachita Ram, Srujan Lokesh, Prajwal Devaraj, Harshika Poonacha, Ravishanker, Bhavana Rao, Ajay Rao, Ninasam Satish, Pragna, Krishna, Sindhu Lokanath, Bhavana and others came up on stage for dance for songs.
The comedy skit of Tabla Naani and Mithra was also good in humor. Shivarajakumar danced for three songs his father sung for his films, Power star Puneeth Rajakumar was also in power packed performance for three songs.
Super star Upendra recalled one of the incidents of his life with ‘Annavru’, Dr Shivarajakumar in his address thanked everyone who came to the event and made it successful.
Anjaneya Karnataka minister for social welfare was only speaker from government side at this cultural event. It is best to inculcate qualities of Dr Rajakumar for good life he pointed.
