Mumbai: Actress Divya Dutta, last seen in a supporting role in Rakeysh Ompraksh Mehra’s Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, says she is excited about her first dark film Badlapur and has enjoyed immensely working in the action-thriller.
“I think I am working for the first time with everybody actually, right from director Sriram Raghavan, to Varun (Dhawan), to Nawaz (Nawazuddin Siddiqui). I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s a different film. It’s my first dark film, yet very entertaining,” said Divya at the sidelines of the Renault Star Guild Awards 2015 function on Sunday.
The film, which features Varun Dhawan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles, also stars Huma Qureshi, Yami Gautam and Vinay Pathak.
“Every character has many layers. It’s interesting as an actor to find different layers in yourself and in the other actors. The energy on the sets was awesome. And Varun, I think, is going to be fantastic in the film,” she added.
Badlapur is all set for release Feb 20 and has grabbed eyeballs with a fantastic trailer and the hit song ‘Jee karda’.
