Mumbai: Contrary to popular belief, Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt will be playing siblings and not each other’s love interest in Karan Johar’s next. The film which is said to be a family entertainer to be directed by ‘Ek Main Aur Ek Tu’ director Shakun Batra.
Rumours were abuzz that Alia and Sid would play lovers, and Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan will play Sid’s elder brother. However according to a report in DNA, the film titled ‘Kapoor & Sons’ will feature the three stars as Rishi Kapoor’s grandchildren.
A source told the daily, “Rishi plays the grandfather. Sidharth Mahotra, Alia Bhatt and Fawad Khan play Rishi’s grandchildren. The very important roles of Rishi’s son and daughter-in-law are yet to be cast.”
Alia and Sidharth previously played lovers in their debut film, Karan Johar’s ‘Student of The Year’. We wonder if it will be difficult to see the alleged couple play siblings on screen. What do you think?
