NEW DELHI: Legendary Bollywood actor Pran Krishan Sikand, popularly known as only Pran has passed away on Friday evening in Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital at around 8.30pm. He was 93.
He was given the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his contribution to Indian cinema in 2012. Pran played roles of a movie villain and character actor in Hindi cinema from the 1940s to the 1990s.
He acted in nearly 400 movies, his first being “Yamla Jat” in 1945.
Pran is survived by his wife Shukla Sikand and three children.
