Mumbai: There have been innumerable insinuations surrounding Vidya Balan lately. Word is that it was the news about her pregnancy that led to her abrupt exit from good friend Sujoy Ghosh’s upcoming film. But the biggest rumour of all was the one about not all being well in her marriage.
For a long time, the actress had maintained a dignified silence on the controversies. But now it seems she is in the mood to clear the air. “Firstly, there is no good news,” she says with a laugh. At a recent party, Vidya wore an outfit where her belly was exposed, just to make it clear that she isn’t expecting.
She also clarified that all’s well between her and husband Siddharth Roy Kapur. “Poor Siddharth! I don’t understand how he gets trapped in these rumours,” says his better half.
With her personal life appearing to be sorted now, Vidya insists that she is unperturbed by the debacle of her last two films Ghanchakkar and Shaadi Ke Side Effects. Vidya is confident that her upcoming film Bobby Jasoos will work at the box office.
The National Award winner clarifies that there is no comparison between Ranbir Kapoor’s film Jagga Jasoos and her film. “Earlier, I was supposedly competing with the Khans. And now I am being pitted against Ranbir. I find these connections and comparisons very silly,” she says.
