The star-studded world premiere of Baz Luhrman’s 3D extravaganza The Great Gatsby, held at the Lincoln Centre in New York on May 1, was marked by thousands of Amitabh Bachchan’s Indian-American fans who turned up to catch a glimpse of the Indian icon.
Bachchan, who appears in a brief role as Meyer Wolfsheim in the film, arrived on the red carpet with wife Jaya Bachchan. A film adapation of F Scott Fitzgerald’s novel of the same name, the film is set to open in theatres this Friday, May 10.
