A major accident took place on Sheikh Zayed Road this morning between 6.30am and 7am, near Noor Islamic Bank heading towards Bur Dubai.
The accident involved a taxi driver and a mini-van. Dubai Police were quickly on the scene to ensure there was no impact on trafic flow, however, given the peak hours of traffic on this major highways, tailbacks had already reached the Mall of the Emirates.
An eye-witness told this website that the taxi crashed into the mini-bus from behind and was completely smashed from the front. “There were ambulances at the scene,” the person said.
