UAE national flag to fly at half mast
President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan last evening mourned the Emirati gallant soldiers who fell in the line of duty in Ma’rib in Yemen in defence of the right and justice and in support of the aggrieved people during ‘Operation Restore Hope’, under the Arab alliance to support the people of Yemen and their legitimate government.
The Ministry of Presidential Affairs, in a statement today, prayed to the Almighty Allah to grant their souls rest in Paradise and bestow patience and solace upon their families and upon the UAE people.
The ministry has also declared a three-day official mourning, starting tomorrow, 5th September, and that the UAE national flag will be flown at half-mast

His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, offered his sincere condolences to the families of the martyrs who fell in the line of duty during ‘Operation Restore Hope’, under the Arab alliance to support the people of Yemen and their legitimate government.
”We mourn our brave martyrs with pride and dignity. By their heroism, they wrote a new chapter in the UAE’s book of glory,” Sheikh Hamad said.
”While mourning our martyrs, we renew confidence in our gallant soldiers in the battlefield and confirm that the martyrdom of their fellows today will not weaken our determination to achieve victory and restore hope to Yemen. Blood of those martyrs will only cement our resolve to pursue the course of victory,” he emphasised.
He prayed to the Almighty Allah to grant their souls rest in Paradise.

His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah has offered heartfelt condolences to the families of martyrs who today fell in the line of duty during ‘Operation Restoring Hope’, under the Arab alliance to support the people of Yemen and their legitimate government.
Sheikh Saud said the UAE martyrs had sacrificed their lives in the battle of pride and glory to enable the Yemeni people enjoy security and stability.
”The martyrs we offered today reflected a true embodiment of the UAE’s pulsing beat of the Arab and Islamic identity and demonstrated its defence of human values and principles and its support for brethren and for distressed people across the world,” Sheikh Saud added.
”The UAE has set a wonderful example of offering what is highly precious in support of brethren everywhere. May Allah preserve the leadership and people of the UAE from any harm,” he said.
He prayed the Almighty Allah to grant the martyrs’ souls rest in Paradise and bestow patience and solace upon their families.
He also wished speedy recovery to those injured and quick victory for the Yemeni people.

His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, offered sincere condolences to the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; UAE Armed Forces personnel, the families of martyrs and people of the UAE, on the Emirati martyrs who died in the line of duty during ‘Operation Restore Hope’, under the Arab alliance to support the people of Yemen and their legitimate government.
Sheikh Humaid said the UAE people were proud of those gallant martyrs who became heroes in the Arab and Islamic history and answered the call of duty with steadfastness of men and conviction of the confident where they sacrificed their pure blood and lives for that cause. Both the UAE and Arab generations, he added, will remember them as loyal defenders of the Arab dignity.
”We will always remember our martyrs and the nation and the people will never forget their historic role. They are the torch that leads to victory,” Sheikh Humaid said.
