Dubai, July 06:Superhit Tulu comedy movie ‘Telikeda Bolli’ which was shown in the silver screen on July 05,Friday in Dubai at Galleria Cineplex,Hyat Regency,Sharjah ,Abu Dhabi and Al Quoz received overwhelming response from the Tulu movie lovers across UAE as all the four theatres reportedly went houseful.
The movie was produced by Sharmila Kapikad and Sudhir Kamath.Main attraction of the movie was the acting of comedy kings and well known, talented actors like Devidas Kapikad, Naveen D Padil, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Aravind Bolar and was appreciated and lauded by the viewers.
Besides this was the debut movie for Arjun Kapikad, son of versatile Tulu actor, director P.H.Vishwanath and writer Devidas Kapikad and was the highlight of the movie.
Show was arranged in Galleria Cineplex, Hyatt Regency, Dubai at 4.30 pm and sponsors prominent personalities including Karnoor Mohan Rai,who was the brain behind for bringing movie for Mumbai and Gulf,Harish Sherigar,MD, ACME Building Materials and well know singer, Praveen Shetty, owner of Fortune group of hotels, Frank Fernandez,Daya Kirodian,Satish Poojary,Irshad Udupi and C R Shetty were present.
During a simple stage programe held during the interval. Frank Fernandez and C R Shetty spoke on the occasion. The movie was based on Kapikad’s hit drama ‘Gantethand’ featuring Kapikad himself along with Naveen Padil, Bojaraj Vamanjoor, Aravind Bolar, Arjun Kapikad, Ashritha Shetty and others.
Mohan Rai said in his speech that all the four shows received rousing response and all the theaters were house full and many people shown their resentment as they couldn’t watch the movie due to non-availability of the tickets and had to return back disappointed.
This is the first time that such a tremendous response was received for the Tulu movie because of the fact that this Tulu movie has been presented through satellite system, unlike in the past where the movie reel was brought,” he said.
In Abu Dhabi, the movie was shown at Elderado Cinema at 4.30 pm, in Sharjah at Star Complex at 6 pm and in Al Quoz at 7 pm.
