ACME Vision’s “KANNADIGAWORLD.COM” launched in Dubai

Dubai: Acme a well-known brand specialized in the business of building materials in the Gulf Market has recorded a remarkable growth in the recent years and is now on expansion mode extending their business in to other Gulf countries; recently launched their operation in Muscat Sultanate of Oman.

Steered by enterprising, youthful Mangalorean Businessman Harish Sherigar who is well known in the social & community circles, Acme is also embarking on diversifying their activities and has prudently selected Media as the new segment and the first step in this direction is to partner with Gulf’s leading Kannada news website www.gulfkannadiga.com founded & managed by veteran social worker & professional B.G.Mohandas

Thus born a new star on the horizon – ACME VISION.

As a step forward, the Duo of Harish & beeji planned a new English language site www.kannadigaworld.com  (Connecting Kannadigas around the world) as an extension of service to the present Kannada site. Web Mater Alan D’Souza a young & brilliant software engineer hailing from Moodabidri and presently serving in Kuwait, who created Gulf Kanandiga took up the task in right earnest and carved a vibrant & exciting a tabloid look website which for sure will satisfy the need of the millions of Kannadigas in the world.

The launching of Acme Vision was held on Friday 15^th March at Fortune Plaza Hotel, Ghusais wherein a large number of community elders & businessmen gathered to wish Harish Sherigar’s & BG’s new vision. The event started with traditional lighting the lamp by visiting guests of honor Ashok Purohit and Dharmapal Devadiga including resident guests of honours, Zafrulla Khan, Sarvotham Shetty, Shekar Shetty, Lokesh V. Puthran, Mark Denis, C.R. Shetty, Harish Sherigar & B.G. Mohandas.  All the guests were introduced and honoured with flower bouquet.  Akshata & Anshul Sherigars did the honours on behalf of Acme Vision.

A short video presentation on the Acme Building Materials road to prosperity was shown along with Acme Visions future vision.  As Master of Ceremony, Earl Joy lead the event smoothly in his own style.

Gulfkannadiga.com widely known as the brain child of the well-known Kannadiga B.G. Mohandas ( Former-President of Karnataka Sangha Dubai & Indian Pharmaceutical forum, UAE) is the only Kannada website to date to have large number of viewers hitting the site on a daily basis.  ‘beeji’ as he is popularly known Mohandas has been honoured with various awards by many Karnataka Associations in the Gulf for his good deeds and his ardent love to Kannada.  However, recently when he whispered with Harish Sherigar about the closing of Gulfkannadiga.com, the later with his broad heart convinced BG that he will take up his mission forward with a new vision.  And that is how Acme Vision is born as briefed by B.G. Mohandas in his opening speech while he thanked all those who were part of his vision & mission and introduced his Team mates to the audience.

Acme with the opening of the new web site announced that the initial proceedings of the new website will go to building of a new house to a poor family back in Mangalore who were shown and briefed in a video presentation.  Harish Sherigar a kind hearted business man always promoting charity in different ways proved true in this event too.

All the guests on the dais spoke separately one by one with their views, advises and blessings to both Harish Sherigar & B.G. Mohandas.  Ashok Purohit said that as per Vasthu yesterday’s time and place perfectly suits the launching of Acme Vision and blessed the total Team to success.

Sharmila Sherigar, Yashoda Mohandas & Akil Mohandas were introduced as the Acme Visions Management Team along with Ashok Belman and were honoured with flower bouquet.  Alan D’Souza the Web Mater, Gopika Mayya the Honorary Editor and Iqbal Uchila the resident Editor along with Ganesh Rai, Sujay Bendore, Praveen Shetty, Herman Lewis, & Shodhan Prasad were honoured with flower bouquet for their support as always.

 Harish Sherigar personally thanked all the invitees for being with him throughout these years and also for being with him in his current vision mission.

A fellowship buffet Dinner was hosted wherein all the old and new friends met and dined together listening and enjoying the melodious songs rendered by Harish Sherigar, Akshatha Rao, Preema Rodrigues, Dilip Devadiga and others.
