Kundapur; Jan 13: Based on the confirmed information, when Kundapur police station sub-inspector Devendra was in usual rounds in Kollur station’s Sarahaddh’s Jadkal, raided the place where Shivadas Poojary, aged 44 was selling alcohol illegally in Hindugana government’s open ground in Muddooru village along with head constableBhoja,an employee of the station Gopala Kharvi and Suresh, the driver of the police station’s vehicle on Jan 12,Sunday around 5.30 pm in the evening.
During the occasion in Hindugana government’s open ground in public place, Shivananda Poojary was selling illegally 60 bottlesx90 milli litres of Mysore Lancer whiskey in big aluminium container. Police took packets of alcohol, which Shivananda was selling and Cash of Rs 350/ which he reeived from the day’s sale under their custody. The value of 60 bottles of 90 milli litre whiskey was estimated at around Rs 1560/- and the value of the aluminium container recovered was around Rs 90/-.
A case was registered in this regard in Kollur police station.
