PUNE, March 30: Software professional Nileshkumar B (45), employed with a multinational firm at Hinjewadi died after being struck by lightning on the company’s playground on Sunday evening.
The police said Nileshkumar B was playing cricket with a friend when it began raining. He took refuge under a nearby tree on the ground but fell unconscious after being hit by a bolt of lightning. He was taken to a nearby private hospital where he was declared brought dead.
The police said Nileshkumar was employed in a high position in the company.
